GO „Zora“ from Babusnica organized on the 16th of December 2019 in Pirot a round table dedicated to legal issues of returnees upon readmission.

The event gathered a Coordinator for Roma matters and president of NGO “Ternipe” Radmila Nešić, president of the NGO “Zora” Danijela Đorđević, representatives of NGOs “Cikani” and “Romske srce”, local community Rasadnik and the Free legal aid project, as well as persons interested for assistance the project provides.

The president of the NGO “Zora” opened the event saying that according to the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration currently resides in Pirot Municipality 110 registered returnees who need assistance in executing their rights to social welfare, education, labor, health insurance and legal documents, but that number is in reality higher because not all returnees are registered with Commissariat.

The representatives of the project, Legal advisers from Nis office Dragan Gavrilovic and Vladana Savic and junior expert for readmission Ivana Andrejevic presented the mandate of the project, as well as the activities directed to assisting returnees in resolving their legal issues and results the project has achieved so far.

On this occasion the project signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the NGO “Zora”, which will enable the project to reach as many returnees with legal issues as possible on one hand, and on the other will provide professional assistance to members of this NGO.
