The legal issues faced by individuals who have been returned to the Republic of Serbia pursuant to readmission agreements signed with EU member states are most commonly:
- Lack of personal documents of the Republic of Serbia.
- Not being registered in the registry books and lacking regulated citizenship of the Republic of Serbia.
The project team for returnees who approach the project for legal aid provides the following services free of charge:
- Provision of legal advice.
- Obtaining extracts for obtaining personal documents (ID card, passport, health card).
- Referral to other institutions for the regulation of rights to health and social care and employment.
- Field visits to the places of residence of these individuals ensure that free legal aid and counseling are provided in direct contact and at the points of their entry (re-entry) into the Republic of Serbia.
