THE PROJECT ORGANIZED A TRAINING COURS FOR JUNIOR LEGAL ADVISORS

Eleven Junior Legal Advisers participated in the training course the Free Legal Aid project organized from the 26th-28th of June 2019.

The training led by the Senior Legal Adviser Vladimir Mojsilovic and Junior Legal Adviser Mia Fukuda Sofijanic covered the topics relevant to the project’s mandate, such as: international standards of human rights, European court for human rights, procedural law implemented in Kosovo and Metohija and submissions in civil and criminal proceedings.

Ivana Andrejevic, the expert for readmission, and Jelena Milosevic, Junior Legal Advisor, presented to their colleagues rights of returnees upon readmission agreements and their problems legal advisers encounter in field, as well as the process of inclusion of Roma, Askalia and Egypt population in KiM.

The three day training held in Zlatibor is a part of activities of the EU funded project „Legal Aid and assistance and dissemination of information necessary for ensuring the protection and exercising of rights of internally displaced persons, refugees and returnees“ that aim to educate young experts to work with those vulnerable groups so this type of assistance would be sustainable and permanently available for those who need it.
