FREE LEGAL AID FOR IDPs AND REFUGEES IN PARACIN

Legal team of the Free legal aid project’s office in Niš Vladana Savić and Dragan Gavrilović carried out on the 22nd of January 2020, in cooperation with the trustee for refugees and migration in Paraćin, a field visit for internally displaced persons (IDPs), refugees and returnees upon readmission agreements in this municipality.

During this field visit, the team held a total of nine meetings. Eight displaced people presented to the team their legal issues regarding their property and obtaining documents in Kosovo and Metohija and one refugee sough legal assistance for obtaining documents from Bosnia and Hercegovina needed for receiving a family pension. Upon determining legal issues, the legal advisers collected necessary documentation and filled out applications for free legal aid for potential beneficiaries in Paraćin.

On this occasion, the team met with the trustee for refugees and migration for Ćuprija and presented a mandate and activities of the project. This field visit was covered by the local media. You can watch the reportage HERE.
