
THE PROJECT CONTINUES TO WORK ON STAFF DEVELOPMENT
Aiming to further improve skills of legal officers and junior legal advisers, the Free legal aid project organized the third training session on 12th and 13th of December in Kopaonik, focusing on protection of human rights and providing free legal aid to displaced persons from Kosovo and Metohija, refugees from Croatia and Bosnia and Hercegovina and returnees upon readmission agreements.
The first day of training was dedicated to returnees upon readmission agreements. Senior legal adviser Vladimir Mojsilović opened the training session presenting readmission agreements to trainees. In continuation of this session, junior readmission experts Ivana Adrejević and Marija Perić presented the status of returnees and problems they are faced with while excising their rights in Serbia.
The second day of training was focused on legal issues of IDPs. Project’s legal advisers Jasmina Županjac and Mia Fukuda Sofijanić explained to the trainees the establishment and work of the Housing and Property Directorate and its legal successor Kosovo Property Agency.
Beside the trainees, the training was attended by representatives of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija. Danijel Patnić, director of European Consulting Group, lead of the consortium that implements the project, visited the training and expressed his satisfaction with the organization of the course and the general progress of the project.
