Roundtable on Support for Internally Displaced Persons Held in Aleksinac
A roundtable titled “Support and Assistance to Internally Displaced Persons” was held in Aleksinac on 7 October 2025, organized in cooperation with the Association “Society for Creative Development.” The event was supported by the local Commissioner for Refugees and Migration and brought together representatives of relevant institutions, civil society organizations, and beneficiaries facing various legal challenges.
During the event, the legal team from the Niš office presented the key project activities aimed at providing free legal aid to internally displaced persons, with a particular focus on resolving property-related issues in their places of origin. Representatives of the partner association also introduced activities under another EU-funded project supporting IDPs, while the local Commissioner presented the support programs implemented by the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration.
A particularly valuable contribution to the event was the testimony of a project beneficiary, who shared their personal experience in resolving a property dispute in Kosovo*, with the support of the legal team.
Following the roundtable, individual consultations were held with interested participants, providing them with initial information and guidance on further legal steps.
