MOBILE TEAM IN ZAJECAR AND NEGOTIN

The free legal aid project’s mobile team visited on October 30, 2017 internally displaces people and refugees in Zajecar and Negotin who are not able to come to one of the project’s offices.

Junior Legal Adviser Maja Simeonovska and trainee Dragan Gavrilovic met with six IDPs from Kosovo and Metohija at the office the trustee for refugees and migrations in Zajecar in order to hear their legal issues and collect necessary documentation. It was determined that four clients have legal issues regarding their property and two are eligible for the percentage from the privatization of the company their worked in before the displacement. The application for free legal aid was filled out for all the clients.

The team met the same day with five displaced people and two refugees from Croatia in the common premises of the social building in Negotin. Two people presented their legal problems concerning the property in KiM and four sought assistance in obtaining the personal documents from their places of origin. It was determined that one person’s legal issue was not within the project’s mandate, so he was given the legal advice and was referred to another organization.

Field visits of mobile legal teams are a part of the activities of the EU funded project “Protection and Promotion of Property Right of Internally Displaces People, Refugees and Returnees Upon Readmission Agreements” implemented in order to increase the outreach of free legal aid for the vulnerable groups.
