MOBILE TEAM VISITED CLIENTS IN MLADENOVAC

Junior legal expert Maja Lakušić and trainee Sanja Mikić met on August 14, 2017 with clients from the Municipality of Mladenovac, who due to health or financial reasons are not able to visit one of the projects’ offices.

The team started the field visit in a house of a returnee to Kosovo and Metohija who, because of the unsuitable life conditions, cannot live there the whole year. The client presented his legal property issues and the team concluded it was necessary to obtain additional documents and start the probate proceedings.

On the same day, the mobile team met with two clients at the office of a municipal trustee for refugees and migrations. A married couple of refugees from Croatia explained their problems concerning retirements in the Republic of Croatia. The on-spot legal advice was given to them and they were referred to the organization dealing with this type of cases. The other client is an old client of the free legal aid project who needed to sign documents necessary for proceeding her case and who is unable to visit the nearest project’ office due to very bad mental state.

This visit was implemented in collaboration with the trustee for refugees and migrations in Mladenovac and it is a part of the activities of the EU project „Protection and Promotion of Property Rights of Internally Displaced People, Refugees and Returnees Upon Readmission Agreements“ whose purpose is to increase availability of the free legal aid for the vulnerable groups.
