Mobile Team Visited Center for Emergency Response in Bela Palanka

Junior Legal Advisor Maja Simeonovska and trainees Miljana Mladenović visited on September 21, 2017 the Center for emergency response for returnees upon readmission agreements in Bela Palanka and met with people in need for legal aid.

The legal team spoke with nine returnees upon readmission agreements who need legal assistance in obtaining personal documents and accessing welfare and health insurance. They were given on spot legal advice and were referred to relevant institutions. Besides the returnees, the team met with one refugee from Croatia who has a problem exercising his right to retirement in the country of origin and one IDP from Kosovo and Metohija who has a legal problem regarding the property in KiM.

During this visit, the team visited the trustee for refugees and migration in Bela Palanka in order to present the types of aid the project is offering and offer a legal advice on exercising the right to family pension to one refugee from Croatia.

The visit to Bela Palanka is a past of the activities of the EU funded project “Protection and Promotion of Property Rights of Internally Displaces People, Refugees and Returnees Upon Readmission Agreements”, implemented in collaboration with Center for emergency response and the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration in Bela Palanka aiming to increase the availability of the free legal aid to the vulnerable groups.
