TRAINING OF TRAINEES CONTINUED

After a short summer break, the training of the free legal aid project trainees continues. The sixth training was organized from September 12- 15 2017 in Belgrade.

Besides the lectured of the Law Faculty in Priština’s docents on the International Public Law and its implementation before courts in Kosovo and Metohija, the trainees participated in the moot court simulation of a civil and criminal proceeding, led by the project’s senior and junior legal experts. Assuming the roles of persecutors, plaintiffs, defendants, lawyers and judges, the trainees got an insight in particular roles in proceedings and gained deeper understanding of the tasks of each proceeding participant.

The course in English language, focusing on the legal vocabulary designed to prepare the young professionals for working the international organizations and courts have started within this training.

The sixth training of legal trainees is part of the program of the EU project “Protection and Promotion of Property Rights of Internally Displaced People, Refugees and Returnees Upon Readmission Agreements” for preparing the trainees to continue working independently on protecting human rights of the vulnerable groups.
