FREE LEGAL AID TEAM VISITED A CLIENT FROM PRIZREN

A mobile team of free legal aid project, made of a Senior Legal Expert Vlastimir Petrovic and Trainees Jovana Filipovic and Ivan Jankovic visited on August 18, 2017 a client from Prizren, who due to bad financial and health conditions could not visit one of the project’s offices.

The client, returnee to Kosovo and Metohija, presented to the team two legal problems regarding property. The first problem is property interference by her Albanian neighbor, who occupied a part of her yard and is pouring out often contaminated water there. The other problem is regarding the probation preceding for the property of her belated spouse. The team determined it was necessary to obtain additional documentation for the probation proceeding, as well as filing a lawsuit for property interference.

This house visit is a part of the activities of the EU project “Protection and Promotion of Property Rights of Internally Displaces People, Refugees and Returnees Upon Readmission Agreements” that aim to increase the availability of free legal aid for these vulnerable groups.
